D'ORIGINE. - Art+performances

I grew up listening to my grandparents' stories about their childhood in their homelands, Istria and Dalmatia ( CRO ). As a result I now have strong sense of attachment to these areas. For a while, anytime I would go there, I would randomly collect objects that would get l my attention or remind me of my grandparents ( old car doors, pieces of wood, flowers… ). Later on, I started to assemble them.
Out of the need of something that would work as a substitute for glue, one day I discovered a passion for the texture of melted wax, which became the protagonist of my works.

In the August of 2020 I was lucky to be given the chance to expose the works in Sala A. Fittke, a space right behind Trieste's main square, where we also recorded the performances of a few international artists, who I interviewed about their relationship to their homeland, roots and feeling of belonging to a place.
